Almost all food waste: produce, meat, dairy, bread, rice, coffee grounds and paper napkins. Keep out bones, shellfish shells, large pits, grease, broth, medicines, and anything plastic, metal or glass.

79.6 × 45.4 × 46.2 in (2,022 × 1,152 × 1,173 mm) and 1,609 lb (730 kg). It handles up to 220 lb (100 kg) of food waste a day.

A level floor rated for 1,609 lb, a dedicated 30 A circuit breaker (220–230 V) that the unit is wired into, and a roof or awning outdoors or venting or a carbon filter indoors. No plumbing needed.

About 1.6 kWh per hour of operation, 4.5 kW at peak. It runs on 220–230 V single-phase power (21 A) and needs no water or gas.

With the lids closed, there is little odor around the unit. About 90% of what goes in breaks down within 24 hours, so nothing sits in the open. Venting or a carbon filter handles odor indoors.

Usually every 10 to 14 days, depending on how much and how often you feed it. The display prompts you. Put a bucket under the outlet and the stirring arm pushes the compost out.

It comes out as unfinished compost. Cure it for at least three weeks, then use it on your grounds or gardens, share it, or donate it. We can help you find a home for it.

A few minutes a day to check moisture. Weekly, rinse the mesh filter. Empty compost every 10 to 14 days. A technician services it once a year. Carbon filters, if fitted, last 9–12 months.

Our US team in Springville, Utah installs the unit and trains your staff on site, then stays closely involved through scheduled virtual meetings. Optional technician visits are available.

Both. Outdoors it needs a roof or awning because it isn't waterproof. Indoors it needs venting to the outside or the carbon filter option. Covered loading docks work well too.

Many states, including California, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington and Vermont, now limit food waste going to landfill. On-site composting is an accepted option under several of these rules. Check your local requirements.

Rest days are normal; many sites feed on weekdays only. Before a longer closure, check the moisture and add water if it's dry. For closures of a month or more, we'll set up a plan with you.
